Bennington/Conover & Associates assists clients in designing and building greener buildings by providing the following services:
Sustainable design and construction project management
- Representing the owner, lead the design/construction team to ensure the project is completed on time and within budget, while meeting design goals
Eco-charrettes
- Drive a strategic review of the project's sustainability goals collaboratively with the owner and design/construction team
Feasibility studies
- Conduct a detailed review with the project team of LEED® credits vs. design objectives and budget, considering appropriate trade-offs in order to identify which LEED credits are feasible
Green materials recommendations
- Assist in defining sustainable materials that can be used on the project
- Research local suppliers for green materials
"Greening" the specifications
- Review specs and make recommendations to ensure subcontractors understand intent, requirements and submittals
LEED® certification
- Register the project with the US Green Building Council and serve as primary interface with project team
- Develop and distribute a matrix of target LEED credits, assigning team members responsibility to produce the required documentation
- Conduct a periodic review of each credit's requirements and submittals with responsible team member(s) ensuring that all requirements are clearly understood and that data for submittals are being collected and documented as the project progresses
- Drive data collection for each credit and develop submittal to USGBC
- Develop and submit questionable credit strategies to the USGBC for Credit Interpretation Rulings, and facilitate Response to Technical Review if needed
Marketing/case study development
- Prepare content for promotional literature describing sustainable elements of the project, and work with a graphic designer to produce printed or Web-based material to promote the project
